Rubén – Ayahuasca Facilitator & Medicine Musician

Rubén is the founder of Madre Verde, a jungle-based holistic center on the Ruta de los Cenotes near Puerto Morelos, Mexico. Since 2019, he has held space for ayahuasca ceremonies, Amazonian tobacco purges, and plant medicine retreats at the center.

A musician and singer of medicine songs, Rubén has spent more than 20 years leading singing circles and working with sound, prayer, and vibration as part of ceremonial practice. His work is rooted in music, presence, and respectful guidance for those who feel called to work with plant medicine.

Rubén has dedicated more than 15 years to working with Mother Ayahuasca. His path has included studies with teachers connected to the Peruvian Amazon, including influences from Shipibo-Conibo traditions, as well as tobacco medicine training in Mexico and learning from facilitators connected to traditions from Venezuela and Colombia.

His ceremonial approach includes ayahuasca, Amazonian tobacco medicine, prayer, chanting, live music, and the Medicine Wheel of the four altars and four elements.

At Madre Verde, Rubén’s role is to create a grounded, respectful, and supportive ceremonial space in the jungle, with clear preparation, guidance, and integration around the experience.
